Hello all :)

I need a couple parts for me Tipo but when I look at the ePer menu it confuses me.

When I press Fiat / Tipo I get to several options to choose from, out of 7 options 2 of them could be me, how do I know which one?

1) ME 160 Tipo 1100 - 1370 - 1580 (1988 - 1993)
2) NS 160 Tipo MQ.93 1370 - 1580 (1993 - 1995)

Both are for 1.6 litre models and my Tipo sometimes uses 1993 parts and within each section there are different part numbers listed, some with more numbers for the same part then the other :(

e.g. (Well not really cause I think I need one) I want the part number for a Strutmount. In one section I get this:

Prod. Code Fur. descr. Comp. Modif. Qty N. C. C. R.
7 PAD
7601504 DS C9702 01
7683364 DS D9702 01
7601500 SN C9702 01
7683363 SN D9702 01
7601500 DS 014 C9702 01
7683363 DS 014 D9702 01
7601504 SN 014 C9702 01
7683364 SN 014 D9702 01

In the other I get this:

Prod. Code Fur. descr. Comp. Modif. Qty N. C. C. R.
7 PAD
46414184 SN V1 +014,V2 01
46414183 DS V1 +014,V2 01
46414183 SN V1 ,96 01
46414184 DS V1 ,96 01

What does it all mean? I would usually think I've missed something fairly obvious... but my motor is confused itself. The V5 says it was first Registered and Used abroad, I'm presuming this means its an import but it doesn't say from where so the country codes in ePer mean nothing to me :(

Thanks all :)

I figured out the VIN thing later... I still get several selectable options for certain items on my car, same part but different part number  does anyone know why that is?

Some are greyed out as they are mot compatible, some have a big X as they are discontinued (Scarey) but the others are both selectable with different numbers.

When a production line runs out of a particular part they don't stop. If possible they use parts from another model or derirative. This might not happen so much now with fully computerised production lines incorporating stock control but back when Tipo's were built it was a case of

"Hey Luigi! We have-a ran outa de calipers..."
"Well use-a these ones then..."

In my experience I get as close to the part number as possible then the Fiat Parts dude can decipher which one is the right one.

I can't actually do this with my car as several times they have ordered parts for me which were the overall correct shape but had a different diameter hole or socket and it never fit and had to be returned

Last time I buy an Import vehicle.
