Got my car tracked yesterday.

Now, Front Toe is fine now 'cos they adjusted that, but Left Front and Left Rear Camber is out by A LOT. They said it can't be adjusted (along with the rear toe).

The car drives fine, no longer do I feel scared driving on the motorway (!). Got to 118mph flat out from M1 Junct. 6 to 4 all fine (sweeping bends etc.), but surely the Camber being wrong significantly can't be good for the traction or wear of the tyres?

WTF do I do now? [:(!]

mmm... a bit worried that camber is out by that much along one side, you been sideways in it?

Did they say if it was neg or pos camber?

Found this description of camber on a bm site http://www.bmw2002faq.com/suspension_steering/camber.html

hope it helps. :D

Dave.

Got more additives than fuel in my tank.

The car did get hit from the driver side about a year ago when parked. It was before I started driving the car, so obviously didn't give a toss.

I've got a print out of the tracking. It's to the right on the scale (on the print out) - negative I think, will double check when it's with me.

Nope, the car wasn't parked kerb side. It was outside someone's house and the women (!) reversed her 4x4 straight into the driver's side.

Anyways, got the print out now. Camber is negative all round, with the left front and rear in the "red". I think it reads -1.11' degrees and -1.25' degress respectively, but then I'm not sure. It's basically: -1 <degrees-sign> 11 <apostrophe>. If I have read this correctly then it's not all that bad reading from the link that you posted :D

Not bad, all you need to do now is shim up the other side the same:D
Yeah reading that article would suggest that you are not going to get any bad tyre wear with those readings. you'll have to try a few bends and see if you get any difference between left and right turns.:D

Dave.

So much to do, so little time.... and Totally Skint!! :(
