I want one.

I am still shaking a little bit...

The CEO of where I worked asked someone to take her across Sheffield to a meeting and drive it back....woo-hoo!

I couldnt tell anyone at work but I gave it such a spanking!

It really is as fast as peopel say, when VTec kicks in it really puts you back in your seat!

I am just rambling now....I sooooo want one for xmas!

What you need is that Novitec, Seicento Extreme. 1.2 Twin turbo, 190bhp, by-by Type-R.:D

Was the wife's but its mine now!!
Lowered 40mm: Its a go-kart!!!
Home-made induction kit.

And it certainly does'nt have that VTEC kick when you hit 6,000rpm and the Novitec Sei can't rev to 9,000 either!!

Civic Type R are like fat girls and scooters. Great fun until you realise your mates are laughing at you. I to have driven one, in fact two and yes the engines do go quite well, but they look like a shed! The styling is embarrasing and you really feel that they were designed to have a zimmer frame in the boot.

Unfortunately these are starting to suffer the old image problem, the same as Capri's in the 70's, XR3i in the 80's and Imprezza's in the 90's. The 00's hasn't really settled on the most embarrasing Kev car yet, all the Typre R's are begining to show signs but the Civic we think will lead it because it looks so damn awful as well!

If you buy one, abuse it for a year and trade it in before the image police really dig their nails in and make them really hard to sell like the aforementioned list.

LOL i wish i won the lottery just changing it for my Imprezza.
Agree with Nige the styling is somewhat marmite, you with love it or hate it i happen to love it.
It does look like a mini MPV tho with those massive headlights and its boxy sidepanels, not sure i agree on the whole Kev car, the Nova and Saxo are still the daddies!!!
How dare you say the Imprezza's a Kev car, i think somebodys Jealous :D

Oh no jealousy NEVER came into the same sentance as an Unimpresseda!

The unfortunate things is that they were and indeed are a good car but unfortunately they were made embarrasing to own by the people that drove them, the same as the XR3i which is why they ended up having such an image problem.

The same thing happened with mountain biking and windsfurfing before that. A lot of people thought .. ooo that looks cool, if I do it I will look cool and you ended up with a 95% tosser contingency doing it, so all the original people stopped doing it and just left the tossers to it until they all buggered off and did something else! This happened to the ImprAsda in the late 90's - you ended up with 95% tosser ownership (mainly late 20's and STILL wearing red baseball caps only this time with goatee beards!) and the image dropped through the floor.

So what I was eluding to was take a glance at the sort of people driving the type R Civic next time you see one pulling into a spaccy spot outside Sainsbury's and then decide if thats the image YOU want to be portrayed with. Like the cool wall on Top Gear, its not just whether the car is good or not!

lol as always
