when I raved about this a month or so ago on the Alfa forum they shot me to bits - but they didnt actually wait until the photos loaded. The old Quatrodoor (four porte for you Polecat) was not to everyones taste but this is one mean machine with style. Or am I getting too biased....

PHWOOOOOOAR! Maserati's are my all time favourite car, i long for a metallic grey 3200GT Spyder Cambiocorsa with red leather seats, just like the one in charlies angels 2 :)

This quatroporte is a beast; a real bit of competition for aston me thinks!

Had a Cinq, bought a new Clio, so now I don't have a Cinq.

It looks ok, but I know that their build quality is questionable, we'll have to wait and see!

Just ok? That's the understatement of the century that is.

Maserati suffer from the same out of date attitude as Fiat. The build quality may have been suspect in the '70s and early '80s, but I hear thay have their act together now.

Hi Steve C

Well no, it's not an understatement, it's just not spectacular looking, all these cars seem to have the same contours and curves, I don't know, the designers must be stuck for ideas, I'm just not a great Maserati fan.

A friend of mine (local garage owner, maintainer of all my cars) had two, the 3200GT and an old model I can't remember off the top of my head which one it is, it's a 1986 soft top, anyway, he's still got the older one but the 3200GT went after a year, he said it was put together not at all well and it didn't drive how it looked, sloshy, spongy, yukky I think is what he said, and we're not talking 70s,80s cars here.

So he now has a Ferrari 355, an Alfa GTV and a Maserati Soft Top 1986 thingymyjig!

Sorry, don't get offended chaps it's only my humble view!

Love the car, but I got to admit prefer the old quatroporte and the old square maseratis of the 80's. Most of the top of the range were turbocharged (or twin turbo) and from what i hear were absolute beasts (floor it, "its not that faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaast" as the car finally gets past the huge turbo lag :D)
Maserati Ghilbi Cup:p
