MODELS FIAT SHOULD MAKE!

Fiat are italian ; Fiat's are Stylish ; Fiats engine mean the business!

But whats going on with the Stilo Abarth and the Stilo GT????

The Abarth is a gorgeous looking car, it has the technology to cope with the 21st Century but historically Abarth Fiats meant the top of the range pure power arse kicking Sports Car...

So why is a 2.4 Litre engine producing only 170Bhp and a 0-60 of 8.9 seconds????
Whats the point of the GT??
The Abarth should be the crown jewels...
It should crush the kack looking FORD FOCUS RS ; the Pathetic Box called the VW Golf R32 ; the Honda Civic Type R's and the SEAT LEON CUPRA R's..

Fiat own Ferrari and Maserati!!!

whats going on?!

Fiat should make a monster... called the FIAT STILO MONZA

It should have a jointly developed Alfa/Fiat Engine....
By building an awesome power horse like the Monza it would bring help its reputation..
The Fiat Group should work together ; Alfa ; Ferrari ; Lancia ; Maserati and Fiat should all work together in designing and building there cars.

Alfa would help with the style ; Ferrari with the Power ; Fiat with the innovation and funky quirks and Lancia with the Soul and Spirit of its Sporting History.

I hope Fiat are listening!

The Eleganza Range should be brought in which is the top of the range in terms of luxury. SOLID BUILD QUALITY ; SOLID ; POWERFUL AND YET BEAUTIFUL. (NOT LIKE A VOLKSWAGON ; SOLID ; WELL BUILT BUT DULL!!!)

A Volkswagen and Fiat joint effort would be interesting...

Strong Build quality ; Quality fabrics ; Powerful Fiat Engines ; Stylish quirky designs...

Fiat really do need to boost their reputation... Sort the dealerships out ; provide the best possible customer service.. (possibly fine the dealerships for customer service issues that the dealerships could have resolved without causing angry customers!!)

For Fiat to survive, which I'm sure they will, they need to be better than everyone else, show people that living with a Fiat is more than owning a car its living with a community aswell!

Perhaps merge Lancia and Fiat and get rid of the Lancia brand???

Quality ; Quirky ; practical yet sporty.?

They do not want to be or should not be allowed to become part of the General Motors conglomerate...

I agree for Fiat to cut costs by utilising GM's parts and tools and knowledge but not be owned by GM...
Thats wrong...
FIAT wouldn't be FIAT if owned by AMERICANS!!

The ConnectNAV system should be in all of the Fiat LineUp...

The ConnectNAV system should be Fiats Infotainment system with bluetooth and Internet Access and similar functionality as Mobile Phones.. It could be possible to have Wifi to utilize the BT OpenZone Wireless Access Points..

(oops me talking technical here! sorry)

Fiat should create a standard Entertainment connection on its ConnectNAV system to use DVD Players ; MP3 HardDrives/ Players ; TV Tuner boxes ; Games consoles and also PDA'S!!

It could get together with Panasonic ; Sony etc and come up with a unique standard that allows all of the manufacturers to build devices and equipment that is connectable to the ConnectNAV system other than just a 5 CD Changer...

Fiat should do what Mercedes are doing and get into every niche ; crook or cranny and make a Fiat model with the heart and sole of what makes a FIAT and FIAT... as in STYLISH yet FUN to Drive...

FIAT SHOULD MAKE :

A NEW FIAT COUPE
A FIAT 500 to compete with the New MINI (Have you seen the concept car?)
A FIAT STILO MONZA (BEAST OF A STILO)
A FIAT SORRISO (means Smile in Italian!!) (Takes over from the Seicento)
FIAT SIMBA (Small 4x4)
FIAT FORTE (Large 4x4)
FIAT GRANDE/LARGE (Croma Replacement)

What do you think to what i have said...

Please reply...
or even speak to me on MSN : JETWEED8@HOTMAIL.COM

I love Fiats'
I own a Metalic Jet Blue 3 door Fiat Stilo 1.9 JTD 115 with 17" Alloy Wheels.
ConnectNAV+ ; Beige Leather interior ; Zenon Headlights..

Pretty much everything you've said makes sense. You're obviously enthusiastic about Fiats.

I agree that Fiat should bring back a Coupe.

I've seen the 500 concept car and if they ever make it I reckon it will sell like hot cakes.

The Stilo Abarth is a shame. It had the potential to be an animal. Fiat messed up with that one.

The Panda is a huge improvement over the Seicento. It will be available in 4X4 form. The Simba was basically a Panda and was a prototype of the Panda 4X4.

Fiat are working on a large SUV in conjunction with Suzuki. I have a picture somewhere which I'll dig out.

Fiat are also working on a "New Large". The idea was scrapped earlier this year, but has just been given the go ahead, again I'll dig out a picture.

damn, this "new large" looks like s**t IMO.
Something like the 'old' alfa 166 with nicer back lights and with the average stilo'ish front grille would be cool IMO.

One thing though... is the Stilo Abarth's 0-60 in 2nd?

Just that my car does 0-60 in 10secs, but that's only 'cos of the change into 3rd. Which basically means the raw acceleration in 2nd gear is amazing.

Maybe the Abarth is similar?

0-60 is such a useless measure of a car's preformance.

jetweed: Alfa Romeo, Ferrari, Maserati and to a lesser extend Lancia have all been greatly improved at the the expense of FIAT. This imbalance is now being redressed, so you can expect to see a number of important new models rolling off FIAT's production lines in the next three to five years. I believe particular focus will be placed on what FIAT does best, the manufacture of small cars, including one similar in size to the Mercedes Smart car.

There is no Seicento revamp. These reports are wrong. Production of the Seicento is ending and no replacement Sei is being made.

The new Panda is Car of the Year 2004 and looks like a bloody good car IMO. Have you even seen one yet?

The facelifted Punto I give you. B)
