right guys after abrief ownership the sei is going!dodgy steering leeking fuel tank and loads of little niggles in short space of time n ive had enuff so here r the choices, not all fiat, punto sporting ,fiesta st[bit heavy on juice but only 10 grand del miles]or new astra 1.7cdti, bit unsure any thoughts:eek:

agree custard, post in wrong section however reason for the differnt car classes is price, punto aside they are all 10 grand except punto, not sure of cost of that, astra is best looker i agree,st is best deal only 23 miles, when u say loads of choice wot like ,10 grand limit, give me some choices custard:)

think u r right custard, good advice as ever(y) st is good price,:) 4 grand off list so is definate front runner, pretty quick standard too:D

fiesta ST would be my choice mondeo 2.0 engine. Although if you're young you're probably going to have to sacrifice your first born son to pay the insurance bill.

I have just changed my stilo for a Fiesta St, I paid £10300 for a new one in silver, for the performance it is a great price. The Astra is a nice car, I was also considering one but for fun the fiesta is hard to beat. To be honest i'm not a fan of the punto (Although this is based on the many 1.2 actives that I had when my stilo was bust).
I have never been a big fan of the new fiesta's styling, a little on the bland side however is st guise it really does look good. They are a practical, fast and a well made car. But I would say that cause ive got one!

I've got a new shape sporting, it's fun to drive, and performance is decent particualrly for such a small engine, but it's not what I'd consider a "hot hatch", whereas the Fiesta is. So there 2 complete different classes of car. Go for the Fiesta for performance, or the Punto if you don't like big petrol bills (does around 40mpg). Best thing to do is to take them both for a test drive (y)

You should never get a Fiesta, already to many on the road which I wouldnt mind a hit list to REMOVE them..... permanently!

In fact dont consider Ford at all..

I have no car at the moment due to my crash so I am not bias but Id go with the new MK2.5 Punto Sporting 1.4 16v, its better looking than any ford or Vauxhall as its Italian (y) and my mate has a brand new Punto and its comfy, smooth ride and a damn bit bigger than the Sei or the Cinq so all round a jump forward!

The 1.4 16v is also not bad performance either, around 9 seconds to 60 and a good top end, its not far off the HGT to be honest :yum:

Good luck

Adam

ps...

Look at it? Its awesum!!

Sporting doesn't have a soft ride, it's pretty firm, I felt sick after the first few journeys in it, soon got used to it though lol! But I think it makes it more fun being like that, but I know a lot of people would be put off by it (i.e. my Dad, but he's old ;) ).

And that's a pretty good point EvilJaxx, being Italian it is good looking, the Fiesta is just a little bit bland.
