Hi all, I have a 2013 1.6 Doblo car that recently started leaking diesel when fully filled. Turns out a rodent has chewed a small hole in the top of the plastic tank. My local garage who informed me of this say that repairs on plastic tanks don’t work and that I need to replace it. Fiat price, £1463.20 inc. VAT !!!
So, I’m trying to locate one second hand, hopefully from a Doblo van as it seems many of the parts are interchangeable, as are Vauxhall Combos. Problem is, my part number (from my registration) is 51858981 and unavailable. However, all the van ones, of which there are plenty that I’ve found have a different part number, 51875909.
Can anyone tell me how I can find out if 51875909 is compatible or not, failing that, any other suggestions as I’m not going to buy a new one at that price!
