Hi can anyone please link me to what cables I need for multiecuscan v4.2 to work and a guide to what I need to set them up as I can't seem to find it.

I have a K+DCAN adapter which I use for INPA on my BMW but not sure if that will/can work?

Thanks in advance

You need to look here for your vehicle (if a Fiat) http://www.multiecuscan.net/SupportedVehiclesList.aspx

If you are looking for what MES adapter cables will work with your BMW then you will have to research where BMW have connected the various systems to the OBDII connector pins.

MES will also warn about "Invalid ISO Code".

For genuine OBDII compliant systems (which technically only cover Engine ECU and Emissions legal requirements) then in theory no adapter is required.

Sorry for the BMW confusion - I have a Fiat (but also a BMW). I wanted to know if I can use the cable I have already for multiecuscan or if I need another cable instead. If I do, a link to what cables I need would be great.

I also read some things online about changing the port latency etc on laptop to make it all work?

Thanks

Looking on the WEB it looks like the K+DCAN interface is a modified KKL interface that switches Pin 7 to Pin 8?

So your KKL interface will work on Fiats that ecus that use KKL but NOT on CANBus based systems/ecus.

You need to look that the MES link I posted to find your Fiat and see what the various ecus/systems use. For those with KKL requirements then the Pin number will be Pin 7 as default for the engine. Other systems, e.g. Airbag will use a different pin.

You never said what car you have so I can not be more specific.
