I still plan to clean it further. That was done using 'CD-2 Engine Cleaner' from Halfords. Its £6.99 and you get a cleaner and a detailer with that. I've not sprayed it with the Detailer yet as i'm not happy with how clean it is yet. The detailer forms a kinda wet look protective coating over everything. Protects hoses and plastic etc

and yes, i know my bumpers are very badly faded :( :(

Cinq Sporting - and yes, its broom yellow!

indeed it has, been properly cleaned out..still needs replacing but i cant afford a GSR kit yet ;)

the wires that go from the battery down near the exhaust manifold are a my there to make my radaitor fan work until i get the switch replaced (they're run via a relay off the headlight circuit atm, hehe)

Sando - the directions say warm the car up to operating temp. Turn engine off and cover air intake/electrical bits. Then liberally spray the cleaner all over the engine and bay. Leave for 10 minutes. Then rinse with water. Uncover intake etc and run the engine for 10 mintures or so to dry it.

I used an amount of elbow grease on mine as well tho. I followed the instructions once and it didnt look a whole lot cleaner. So i used the cleaner by spraying it onto where i wanted to clean and scrubbing it with a cloth, then rinsing it with water.

Mine was steam cleaned the day i brought it, the last owner did it so i could check it over. Looked really clean, and still does even after almost 11 months, but then i clean the engine weekly (only with water and a cloth) trying to avoid anything electrical.
Got a bit messy under the bonnet when the expansion hose exploded on the motorway.... [xx(]
