Hello I have a fiat punto mk2 1.4 2004 the steering failure came on the dash so as the red steering wheel it's just had a new steering coloum fitted and 're calibrated along with a new steering pump I don't want to be paying out silly money again for something when it's not that is there any ideas on what it could be please also the steering does go heavy after so long thank you

Is it just the steering failure, or do you also get warnings about hill holder, etc?
The ePAS system needs a good strong battery, so if the battery is on its way out it causes all kinds of issues.

Just steering failure that's what iv been told about the battery too so I think I may try a new battery thanks for the reply
