Picked up a 2012 ducato maxi there is hot air coming from vents but no blowers 1-4 doesn’t work checked the heater resistor terminal 5 blown and the male connector. Replaced both and still nothing checked the F08 fuse in the engine bay seemed ok so replaced it anyway checked for the heater relay in the engine bay swapped it with another relay and still nothing so can it be the controller with the resistor behind it that’s gone help if there is already a thread someone please send me to it

They all seem to use the same resistor pack but you are likely to need a new connector with the new resistor. Splicing that into the loom will be a struggle.

We had a discussion on the subject of resistor replacement options

The speed resistor indeed sits in the airflow, but it's hardest when the airflow is at its lowest. Inevitably, it gets cooked. Access is horrible so putting the new resistor somewhere accessible with its own private cooling air seems the easiest option.

But I like the idea of doing it electronically. Do you have any examples of the components to do it with PWM.

Go on eBay and search for PWM controller

Thanks (y) and Wow !!! :)

The very first one complete and ready to go with 8A current costs 50% of the OEM resistor. I'll have to see how much current the fan motor actually pulls, but this (48A) should blitz it.
