Can anyone advise me who arranges transporter delivery from Portbury to dealers. Is it arranged by Fiat or do the dealers arrange this?

Not sure the glum face is appropriate.

Fiat UK / world wide have a logistics chain designed to factory ship and deliver to all parts of the world to satisfy their cost, quality and expedience criteria. No one country is likely to be the same and as for the UK I've never heard of any issues being reported regarding vehicle deliveries other than "why it it taking so long".

As "werdna" posted just relax and let the system cogs grind. When your car arrives you will be advised and you will be able to inspect etc. before taking delivery. Fiat UK and dealers do not want customer orders lying around or being damaged as until finally pay for the car the risk and burden is with them.

Fiat organise the delivery to dealers.
Like most manufacturers, Fiat now do the PDI (pre-delivery inspection), which is done at a facility at or near Portbury. Yours will be in the queue for processing and will take its turn. It should be identified as a sold vehicle, so should jump the queue ahead of stock vehicles. Then once done, it will await a transporter load to your area. This may be a whole load for one dealer, or may be spread across several in your region. As soon as a whole load is available, it will come.
