Bare with me as this is my first ever post and I know very little about cars. Basically my problems comes when I accelerate in any gear between 2000-3000 revs, as soon as I reach these revs and I take my foot off the accelerator a rather loud rattling/vibrating noise comes from inside my dashboard on the drivers side but as soon as I press down on the accelerator or clutch the noise disappears. The problem has been happening a while now and I don’t see any decrease in my cars functionality so I never bothered getting it looked at but now I’m coming to selling it I am starting to worry whether the problem may or may not be serious. Thank you

Are you sure the noise is from inside the dashboard?

An initial thought is to eliminate the pedals from the equation. I only say this as on our Strada Abarth 130TC the throttle peddle can rattle on overrun at certain RPMs.

The noise sounds like it is coming from inside the dash area.

These noises can be anything from loose radio to debris dropped down ventilator ducts or something coming loose. All you can do is get someone to drive the car then listen to where the noise is coming from. Get back home and look things in the noisy area and tighten screws, strap up or pad with foam, etc, etc.

You will probably have to remove covers around the steering wheel and have a 360 degree neck like the girl on horror films.
