I recently built a clock using an 09 bravo instrument cluster, speed hours & Rpm mins.
The cluster doesnt support text on the Lcd I tried sending various Can codes but it doesnt respond, my wifes 2015 van does support text, station name, Cd track name etc.
So what year did fiat start making the cluster show media text data, later ones are £££ on ebay, around 2010 the price drops.
I think its cars that have blue & me, not sure.

I doubt any cluster from anything before the Tipo/500X will support this, I have a 2013 MiTo and it certainly doesn't, Puntos/Bravos of the same era will use a similar set up. Blue&Me has been in cars since 2007, in fact I'd be surprised if a 2009 Bravo didn't have it. Again, my MiTo does have Blue&Me and doesn't display track data in the gauge cluster.

errrm...... my Punto does this (2011)...... sorry

I think it will also display the Track names from MP3s if you use a USB stick but with a modern iPhone it just says MP for media player.

Maybe it's a limitation of the MFD, definitely doesn't show it on mine, I only see it on the headunit screen.

I do get more info on the radio screen, full track info even from the iPhone appears on the radio screen

Ok then, so 2011 is a start.
And the year doesnt neccessarily mean much.
