Just taken my 08 Punto Grande out of the garage to give it a quick clean before the MOT tomorrow. It's been stood for the last 2 months as I've been working away. Has been started a few times by the missus but not driven.
Anyway, had it running on the driveway for about 20 minutes while I cleaned it and then after topping up the levels before going for a spin the engine management light has come on.
It's booked for the MOT in the morning and I know it will not pass with the light on, so hoping there is maybe someone local to me in Leeds 6 who has a code reader and can maybe try resetting it for me?
Cheers in advance.

Disconnect battery for an hour.. might clear it..

Could also go in 3 fault free starts.

So once warm at garage might just clear itself.

Good luck.. Charlie ..200 miles away

Cheers, tried restarting etc, but no joy.
Currently have battery neg disconnected so fingers crossed. Otherwise, if it doesn't clear on the way to the garage tomorrow I might have to ask them to check it and advise. I'm betting its an o2 sensor as we had a similar thing when we bought it second hand about 2.5 years ago and the garage cleared the code. It never came back, until now....maybe....

varesecrazy I ended up cancelling the appointment as the MOT station reckoned their diags machine wouldn't work on an 08 Punto.
Taking it to a "proper" workshop and MOT station tomorrow rather than a tyre and exhaust place that does MOT's.
Gave it a bit of an "Italian Tuneup" this morning to see if that helps ;)
Will post back once I know. Eklipze3k thanks for the offer, but easier just to drop it at the garage tomorrow as we are moving house tomorrow too, so not exactly a quiet time at this end either!
