OK. Has the laughter died down?

I want to get rid of my ute which I've kept solely to be able to move motorbikes.
If i had a very light construction bike trailer built along the lines of those cheapies that are sold by harbour freight in the US, could my 500 tow it.
(i e. being monocoque construction would the car just start twisting?
Trailer might weigh about 100kg and m/bike on it 200kg. Is 300kg just too much? Don't want to go fast or use very often.
Is there any experience of people fitting towbars to 500s - even to mount a pushbike rack on?

Well I have a Panda Twin air. It has a tow bar and tows a half ton trailer round. Power is fine for this and I have no doubt it would pull my caravan which weighs 1100 kilos if it were rated to do so. The big issue will be how good your roads are. If your going off the black stuff I would not be too confident it wouldnt end up causing damage. If your trailer is reasonably softly sprung it would be better but then you need dampers on it. Go for it but do check nothings cracking up if you do much rough road stuff otherwise it should be dandy!!
