Not sure if the right place or not.
Did Fiat make a fully automatic New shape, 2008 onwards, Punto?
Currently have a Mk2b facelift fully automatic Punto.
Been looking for a new shape Punto in fully automatic and all I can find is Dual logic automatic. Had a mk2b Punto with dual Logic and I hated it, plus the box went knackered at 46000 miles so, I don't want a Dual Logic again.
Thanks in advance and I hope I've posted in the right part of the Forum.
John.

Hi. Not sure how you had a torque converter auto in a mk2b punto..
My recollection was early puntos had CVT
Or speedgear..same as duologic.

Grande onward are all duologic. :(

Charlie

Hi Charlie,
Mk1 punto had the electronic clutch system operated by a switch on the accelerator pedal. Mk 2 and Mk2B have the CVT speedgear system. Both Mk2 and Mk2B have a torque converter but are still CVT. I have replaced auto boxes on both Mk2 and Mk2B and they do have the torque converter.
Mk2b Dual logic has a standard manual gearbox and clutch but opperated via the hydraulic acctuators.
Sad to hear that the Grande punto onwards dont have fully automatic or speedgear auto boxes. Now i need to look for another auto car.
Probably end up with a bloody Fiesta auto now :yuck:
