I was a member of the Fiat Motor Club years ago - and won their economy run in a very hot Uno Turbo ie. I was thinking of joining again, partly with an eye on new Fiat discounts. I've looked at the web site and wonder if the club is as dormant as it looks. For example the last reported foreign trip was in 2000!! Any experience anyone?

I've been a member of the FMC for more years than I can remember and yes the Fiat Club Website and Forum are indeed quiet. I'm not sure if they have a Facebook/Google/Yahoo/etc Group anywhere?

The Parliamo magazine is still published quarterly. Events still happen but not as many as used to happen. There is probably only the annual Classic Car Show at the NEC where the club runs a stand. It has been quite a few years since the FMC have had a "space" at Brooklands.

With FMC you can get (like for most other RAC affiliated official car clubs) a discount on RAC membership with the added bonus of "off road recovery" (unless this ORR has been stopped in recent years?).

When it comes to the New Car Discount / Group Affinity Scheme then this is still running and is an attractive perk. Varies by model but typically 12% to 22% for cars and in the vans (ducato,doblo,fiorino,....) then up to 41.5%.

Advantage of the Scheme is that the price you pay is what it is thus no haggling required. However often (depending on scheme discount) you could get a better deal by hunting around dealers and haggling.
