Smile 1984 fiat x1/9 dirty carb distributor and gl3 g/box oil

Hi i found the warning lights on my 1984 fiat x1/9 1498cc were coming on this is a safety cut in when You start the engine the cigarette lighter and the side lights come on and the fiat won't start. so Calibre autos Taunton cleaned out the Magneti marelli s135 distributor and replaced the points and condenser and for the dirty carburettor i got some Redex 250mls fuel system cleaner from Wilkinsons/Tescos my 1984 fiat x1/9 had been in the garage for a while for its mot. the Transaxle gearbox oil is hard to get i got from ebay a Castrol st90 sae90 gl3 gearbox oil i think this does other 1980s cars like a Porsche 924 best wishes from jeremy

Hi just to change, the warning lights safety cut in on my 1984 fiat x1/9 1498cc are the cigarette lighter comes on the side lights on the instruement panel comes on green but it is the indicators outside my fiat that come on and the battery warning light goes out and the clock flashes this is when You try to start my Fiat x1/9 i am sure this is for a dirty carburettor and is to do with the carb fan sensor. also i used a Petrol system cleaner from Tescos/ Wilkinsons that pours into the petrol tank They do a diesel cleaner as well best wishes from jeremy
