Just a question i hav a fiat doblo 07 reg ..altenator gone in it ..i got one in scrap yard but fella whose fixn it says it wont work because its 90 amp and i need a 70 amp one is he right ..and wat damage wud be done if the 90 amp one was used ..prob f..up the ecu and stuff :)..thank use in advance..

but maybe the actual basic unit is the same,

and it's the brush pack / regulator that's the difference..

can you swap that part...?
or even swap the brushes..in case that's what failed on the original, ( they do just wear out..)

Im not sure im not mechanical minded ..i think im been played for a bit of a fool because they said the starter and altenator is gone ..i got into drive van other night turned the key and no noise wats so ever ..and i only put new battery in 4months ago..

hi,

there CAN be problems with the inside of the main earth cable, from battery to car body / engine,

a basic test with a "jumplead" will rule that out.. ;)

I wont know till monday till im bk in work so i can go down to my (mechanic) and see wat he says ..my van is an 07 1.3 doblo..i dont know the part number til then..will keep posted as i see some progress wen gettn it fixd ..
