Hello, I’m a newbie and have many questions regarding theFiat 500 – have posted one regarding oil and I have another regarding water topup:
When I need to add more water/coolent/anti freeze will thisalso appear on the dashboard or do I have to manually check this weekly?
Ref adding more water – should this be a mixture of waterand anti-freeze 50% each (pre-mixed )of should I just top up with water only?
Ref my rear window wiper – there is not water coming out ofthis – is this normal? I assume it would spray water to clean the window? Doesthis mean I should add more water?
It would be great if anyone who drives a Fiat500 knowsanswers to the above…..

Welcome to the forum :)

As the coolant system is a sealed system, you shouldn't need to ever top up the coolant levels unless there is a leak.

As I don't have a 500 myself, I can't answer the rear washer question but it shares the same reservoir as the front washer, so if you get a jet on the front it's not a case of just topping up. Either there is a blockage or a problem with the pump. The washer doesn't automatically activate when you use the rear wiper though, in my Punto you have to push the stalk away from you to spray the rear window.

Thank you Eklipze - this is so helpful - it worked! I was pushing the stalk in the other direction! many thanks - much appreciated.....
