How many Fiats have you had?

How many Fiats have you had?

That looks fantastic! :)

When you say departed, you don't mean scrapped, do you?

I expect many were scrapped eventually (!) and our daughter who now has the 2003 Punto in London is doing her best to dent every panel...! To be fair the last gouge along the passenger side was caused by someone driving the wrong way down a 1 way street and then not stopping!

I can claim the following in order of purchase between my wife and me:

nice list.
obviously appreciative of the "Italian Vehicle experience",(y)

when I bought my TA Punto back in 2013 I had a tot-up ..that was #30

had a few more since - getting an X1/9 on Sunday:D

Charlie - Oxford

Panda 100hp since May. That's it.

BUT I have been working on fiats since 2004, and feel like I know very well the punto (mk1, mk2, mk2b, grande), stilo, marea/bravo/brava, cinquecento, seicento, sedici, Ulysses, doblo, Ducato, new panda, new new panda, new 500, 500 X, 500 L

And on the Alfa side throw any 145, 146, 147, 156, gt, 159, Brera/spider, GTV/spider, giulietta, mito my way and I'll fix it with my eyes closed

Forgot to mention a couple more. Mito 1.4 Lusso in 2011; 500 1.2 Lounge in 2013! Would like to see some photos of your X1/9. This is really my all time favourite Italian car and my dream project to get one when I retired, now fulfilled.

Our 500 lounge 105 is our first Fiat, and I must admit I was a bit unsure about it. I'm old enough to remember when Fiats were very unreliable, plagued with electrical probs and a tendency to rust. By all accounts they have improved a great deal over recent years so we went for it. Fingers crossed!

Only 2 Fiats out of 3 cars for me. But I love them!

2014: 2004 '54 Fiat Punto Active Sport 1.2 8v Grey Got written off :(
2015: 2004 '04 Citroen C3 Desire 1.1 Light Blue
2016: 2016 '16 Fiat Punto Easy+ 1.2 8v Exotica Red

My new Fiat is lovely and comfortable and looks awesome with the red paint!

Now on numbers 3 &4 two Unos and now Panda 100HP and Bravo 1.6D.

I can remember back in the 70's seeing a Fiat 124 only 18 months old with a rust hole big enough to put your shopping into the boot through! The newer ones however seem to be rust free and reliable and are good to drive. Sir Percival the Panda is spectacular and quite the best of the 75 or so vehicles I have owned or driven as company cars. Dad had two or three Uno's and these too seemed . The simple engineering and easy servicing still seem to be present and 55 -85mpg from the Bravo is decent too. What I don't like is the high depreciation. (Panda is good in this respect Bravo is appalling)

I keep looking at the Alfa Giulietta and thinking if I had paid the extra £5K for same age one I would be intensely disappointed in it though. I really want a very low mileage Panda 100HP in blue as a retirement present but they are getting so hard to find. Need to be quick or the Bravo will be worth nothing at all in PX. Its four next year that must be very old for a Bravo....

Always driven Fiats:) Always will.

First car - '86 Panda 1000S which was 11 years' old when I got it in '97 and had a number of previous owners who'd hit it in so many different panels. I'd two accidents in it to add to the list but it was 100% reliable and I loved it; that car had more hits than The Beatles and still kept going.

In Jan. '98 changed the Panda to a '95 Cinq. S which I sold in '09 to a mechanic friend I know. I'd kept it like new and it's still about and currently SORNed but will be back on the road soon by his Granddaughter.

In '07 bought a '99 Punto S for work purposes which was very reliable and was the reason I sold the Cinq. as I'd no room for both as I was between houses at that time.

The Punto was replaced in 2010 by a new Alfa Mito which is the most unreliable of all my cars. Gearbox crown gear went at start of this year at 66K miles and had to replace entire gearbox! :( Had another few niggles and still have it on the road along with two other cars now that I've settled into a new house. Bit miffed about the gearbox issue as I never drive it hard or abuse it so always waiting for something else to go when I'm out in it. Still a lovely driving car though.

Bought another Punto 6 months' ago, this time a '05 Sunroof Special which was bought for work purposes and to keep mileage off the Mito after the gearbox saga. It's great and for £800 was a bargain even if I did have to then get the previous owner's door damage on it repaired.

Got a '90 Panda 1000CL which is my latest venture and will be restoring it slowly, this is for keeping and will never be sold and only for summer use and to take to shows. Bought it on ebay a month ago and currently getting good driving out of it before the restoration starts; I love driving it.

I've not changed the cars too often as I like to get value out of them. The Panda is my favourite as it always amuses me ; the looks you get from people and the 'raw' driving experience is what I like along with their shape.:D Fantastic:D

3, first was a 1996 broom yellow cinquecento sporting, then a green Bravo, then a multitude of other marques and now I have a Vauxhall Insignia VXR and a Fiat 500 for commuting

1988 a new Fiat uno 45 Fire The engine was good but it started to rust in just a coupple of years. i drove 160000 km with that uno.
fiat 600 and a fiat 126 as a wintercars when i ride motorbikes in summertime.

Today i own a Fiat 500 lounge 2016 I love that car.Have drive 9000 km this summer/fall just for fun. :)

Bjorn...
