Hi, :)

My TA Punto is 3 years old in March, needing its 1st MOT

can I present it early - like a normal annual MOT,
or will the certificate start from the day of test..??

I'm hoping that with the logbook stating date of 1st registration that will be the rolling MOT date..,
can anybody please confirm:)

sorry if it seems dumb.. but it's years since I've done this.. things may have changed:confused:

cheers,
Charlie

Yes you can take it in early, just as you can for any subsequent MOT. Just in case take your V5 with you to prove to the tester the date of reg.

It should recognise it on the system.
It did with my GP last year when it was 3.

Do all the basic checks, bulbs wiper blades and tyres, these are are the things new cars commonly fail on because owners don't think to check them on the grounds that it's new car 'it won't fail'

Thanks, I'm sure that's very common..,

I tend to be fairly aware on those things,

However;
I've got an odd "rubbing noise" on the downward slope of speed humps,
don't hear it at other times..,

so I'm going to a tyre and exhaust place ( £29.95)..hoping they pick up on it,
I'm suspecting a rear damper.., time will tell,

Charlie
