Ok since i've finally been able to get broadband back i've been able to finish most of my updates and finally have some free time.

What do you guys want for how to articles (no ice stuff please, there's lots of them around already)

I'll eventually finish the panda faq when i have a bit more patience to go through all the back posts

If anyone else has any how to articles they are willing to send in just send me some pm (or want to write some);)

Could you make an FAQ on turbocharging the Punto mk2 8v :p - Just kidding.

What you could include is
1)Certain "important" wires on some ecus, like the rev wire, tps wire etc, like cause my friend was told that the blue wire is the rev but upon checking the blue was connected to the TPS.

2)Maybe a small guide who wants to DIY turbocharge, like what manifold to use on the punto mk2 to turbocharge it (instead of a full custom one), like example to use punto mk1 manifold and cat on the mk2 etc...

Why does everyone find the site good, i find it confusing to navigate some topics:eek: .

It's basically the same to turbo any fire engine since they are alike;)

I'm trying to stay away from ecu stuff until i can verify all the info for myself unless someone provides me with some tips:D

I've placed basic info on turbocharging to give a basic understanding of the principles, if you understand the basics then everything just makes sense:p

There is no manifold that can be used without an adapter plate since the turbo manifolds don't fit, the stock manifold also forces you to use a custom downpipe which is why i opted to use a custom manifold so i could use stock replacement exhausts;)

Now the E manage installation is really getting to us.

Oh, what I meant about manifold is can you use a punto mk1 manifold on the mk2, weld in a turbo flange, and use the cat from a punto mk1 as well? Cause we were going to try it (the cost of a custom manifold is way too much here) and we were having problems as were to put the cat (here it is illegal to drive without a cat)

The manifolds can be interchanged but i'm not sure if the cat will mount on the mk2 because i've never checked:p . How is the mk2 manifold different?:confused:
 
Not manifold itself, the problem is cause in the mk2 the cat and manifold are one thing, and if you try to cut in between you need some pretty good welding and fabricating skills to get a turbo in between.

On the other hand on the mk1 the manifold and cat (the cat sits underneath the car) are seperate.

So as you can see the problem is more with the cat rather than the manifold.

Someone just sent me an email requesting a full engine assembly, anyone think this is needed? I can do it since i still have to assemble my 1242 8V(y)
 
A full engine assembly is defientely worth it, I hate haynes (sorry ,no offense, but nothing seems to match)
 
I've got a few more sent in but my adsl has gone out again so it'll have to wait:mad: .


I've got;
-clutch replacement (i think it's on a Punto 55sx)
-1242cc 8V SPI to MPI conversion (using stock head/intake/tb)
-paint chip touchup
-debadge
-big brake upgrade (Cinq turbo)
If anyone has any that i could use please send them my way, i'll place credits on the page;)
 
Unfortunately we have never done any of those so sorry.

If you need something electronic specific especially regarding ecu's we will both be able to help you.

I place on there whatever i have, it can include electronics as long as it's fire engine related;) , right now i'm fixing up the panda faq to actually look like a faq:p

I've been told the mk2 Punto 75 has finally been remapped(y)
