I would appreciate your help.

I have made a schoolboy error - in, what I thought was temporary removing an oil pipe to measure it for a new replacement.

The schoolboy error? Well, it wasn't an oil pipe, but was a water pipe, joined to the, what I now know to be, the thermostat housing. D'oh.

All in all, approximately one to one and a half (if that or at the very most two) mugs of water came out
Would I now need to bleed the water system on it? As the last thing I need or want is for the head gasket to go, because of it.

If I do need to bleed it, can someone explain in detail on the order and placement in order to bleed it, in simple "newbie" terms, please?
