Fiat are buying the remaining shares in Chrysler. It might yet them in the US but I'd rather they spent the money on developing a Punto replacement!

sergio is doing a robert maxwell basically in my opinion
for the long term i think its bad too in an unstable market and their new model in the usa bumming
forget the punto its history

Yes, the Punto is gone. Seat and Suzuki are doing this sort of thing far better, I mean style with zip, at a price people can afford.

But I hope for good things from Fiat, once they realise that the 500 is not the answer to all motoring wants.

i think it's brilliant news

It makes Fiat Chrysler the most heavily indebted car manufacturer in Europe owing £8.3 billion. Will be interesting to see what platforms and technologies are shared though.

I can't see why it's brilliant news. If Mercedes couldn't turn Chrysler round then I doubt Fiat can. They make such a crap range of cars that lag way behind European cars quality wise. This could be the end of Fiat if it goes pear shaped although I'd love to be proved wrong.
