What do you mean Fast? im sorry but Fiat seems to be "behind" every other car manufactures.

All Fiat get is arbarth but im pretty sure they seem to be sleeping these days.

Check my thread out you'll see why.

No good me bringing mine? They are only running 4,6 and 8 cylinder races??

seen plenty of Mazda-rati R8's for CHEAP lately @ £600

I'm trying to convince my mate Kev' to sell me back my 13B turbo loom and box. He bought it from me six years ago for a Rotron (Rotary powered Se7en) but never got round to it. A nice compact 200bhp for Guff II should give the old bus a bit of go. ;)

Youre panda aint fast?

BHP?
TORQUE?

yea not fast thought so..!!

I'm not sure if I can quote this on the forum as it was a "Private" message. Moderators feel free to edit as appropriate. I thought I'd share.

I never made any claim that my Panda is fast. If I take my Fantasia it will have the rear roof open and a mate holding a camera as we drive around. Twin sunroof Pandas are perfect film cars in that way and we can get some really good shots.

BHP? Around fifty-ish (approximately 75bhp/Ton)
Torque? Around forty five foot pounds I guess.

More than enough to post sub-nineteen second quarter mile times (quicker than a standard BMW E36 320i).

I'll be there for the fun of it, to film some of it and most important to be part of it. As much as I'd like to be competitive I don't have the budget or anywhere near enough time to build something for the event.

The purpose of this thread is to generate interest and appeal to like minded individuals. Whilst your critique is accurate it is somewhat misplaced and ultimately futile. Given most of your posts have such a positive outlook I was neither surprised or remotely aggrieved by your message.

All the best. :)

Despite Custom Car magazine (plus Super CC) being a part of my late teenage years I've never really got the Drag Racing thing at all. Although I realise that drag racing a bog standard Panda MJ might have an element of irony about it, I can't bring myself to get interested.

Having said that, full marks for bringing it up in the first place and I'd applaud anyone who brings up the idea of a meet, run or other social event, good try.

Irony aside my Fantasia would rock. This is the first event of it's kind in the UK and Drag Week is one of the biggest events of it's kind in the world. To be part of the first ever UK version is to be a part of history. Even if I have a clapped out £236.01 Punto to do it in.

Being of a mind where I like to try and do interesting things. I thought some of you lot would also enjoy the experience. Being competitive comes next year. ;)

I genuinely hope you get some positive replies and some fellow Forummers go along. Be sure to post some pictures of the event and let us know how it went. (y)
