Hi there,

I'm new to the forum, so I hope I'm posting in the right location for this topic. When my grandfather passed away, I was given his vintage FIAT steering wheel. I would really like to restore it, but nobody in the family was able to tell me which model the steering wheel came from. Can anybody here help me identify it? Many thanks!

- Melanie

I think this dates from before the '60s as all the 1960s FIATs I can think of have two horizontal spokes, right from the 1200/1300s, the 1500s up to the last of the 124 Coupes and Spiders. The later 124s even had a fairly wide pad on the cross spokes as an early kind of energy absorbing device.
