Parking Sensor
STOP!
Now you can reverse with confidence and peace of mind. Parking sensor warns you if you are close to another vehicle, wall or bollard. The beeping rate increases as you get closer, warning you that its time to stop.

Automatic switch off (after 20 minutes of no movement).

Switch on when you want to park safely.

Plug into cigarette lighter or use 3XAA batteries.

Easy to install and remove without damaging the unit or car.

IMO, you're better off spending some money on sensors that can be properly wired into the car. The JML ones seem like something that sound a good idea, but are actually more hastle than their worth once you've replaced the batteries a few times.

hmm good point. lol. some cars that aren't necessarily that long are really awkward to reverse due to high rear windows, back end that fade away and poor all round vision. For example, I find reversing a new shape Mondeo harded than reversing a LWB Transit for those reasons.
In the Sei, if I treid hard enough I could probably reach out the window and feel around the back how close I am. lol

HI they can run off the cig-lighter on the dash, I was going to wire it up to the reverse lights so that when I placed the care in reverse it turned on the sensor.

Pls tell me if anyone has done it.

Thanks (y)

Gaz, Mind you think about it, think my dad likes bumping his car??? He dose drive it like a mad man!!

Ever seen a Savanna Estate wheel spin, with lots of smoke from the tires???

All I said was that I was late for my English trip to see MacBeth!!

Even my friends in the car were little scared!!!

if u dont know where the back of your car is.... get a bloody smaller one :p

too right!!!

Don't see the point TBH, if you cant reverse it, don't try!

Mind you, i just had to move my girlfriends mum's car which is twice the size of mine, and got that in the driveway first time???? and i don't reverse mine (MK1 Punto 60s, '99) coz i'm no good, and everyone in ASDA huyton, wants me to run them over so if i did have a sensor, the thing would never be off!!!!

Anyway, must be of some use to someone, or they wouldn't sell any.

They are a necessity in a large MPV, imo - sometimes I wish it had front sensors, like the Galaxy.

It is not that you rely on them 100%, it is just the confirmation you are not going to knock a bumper in the process - also, in carparks, how many walk behind when they can blatently see you are reversing out, especially in large, dark multi-stories - the long tone implies 'stop now, or else sonny' :)

Tell ya what guys - If i brought my dad one he'd be panicking about where the beeping was coming from!! hence _ ""crash"" - some people just ought to give up driving altogether if they cant move their cars around - Like my dad! :)

He he, it is the sensors that stop me smashing into a smaller car :D

You can't win, people moan about carpark scrapes - then next minute, people moan about sensors that potentially stop car park scrapes  :p

The thing with most parking sensors is their way to sensitive, although the ones on the abarth are good particularly as they're adjustable. (y)
