What should I get? GSR or BMC CDA someone please decide for me as this is driving me mad :bang:

Not that it particularly matters but here is a pic of the GSR:

Oh yeah, I have a Punto Mk2 16v Sporting.

Sound is not really a biggy, what I really want is an increase in performance and as I already have an angel tuning remap this is the next logical step.

CDA That bracket you're worrying about can be modded without any problems

I was slightly more worried about the fact that its hovering over the top of a hot engine whereas the GSR is down below/to the side of the engine. Is that going to be a prob?

CDA all the way mate! Mine rips espcially from 4000rpm onwards & there's very little noise.

No, becuase the pipe at the front is forcing cold air straight in, and angled to the cold air. The housing is probably well heat sheilded too

well angel tuning also pair their remaps with BMC CDA's so Id take that as a hint too plus they are the dogs ******.

bmc cda,
it dont get hot, of you look close it sits slightly infront of engine not over it, theres a shield over exhaust manifold, and when your driving cold air comes in ever where at the front so hot air goes to the back anyway

Only prob is that Nige can provide me with a BMC CDA at Stanford Hall but he can't fit it as they are taking a break Think I might wait until he can fit it as I really want a professional job. He has offered to talk me through it on the phone but it sounds complicated (mentioned hacksaws and stuff

you only have to hacksaw the bars with the holes in, go for it

If thats all I have to hacksaw then I could probably do it at Stanford as I could bring the tools with me. Are you going on the stand dave?

yep am on the stand, you will only need a junior hack saw

Damn, I was going to ask if I could park next to you and copy your set-up so I get it exactly right. It's going to look very weird at Stanford. I am going to arrive with a boot full of tools and then proceed to dismantle my engine
