well it wont be this year.needs a bit(lot!!?)of tlc.engines a bit lumpy so im gonna have to check plugs etc but i think it needs the fueling sorted out plus its seeping a bit off oil making it nice n stinky inside.still has some serious grunt though.plan is to sort out mechanicals and stuff like an oil cooler plus some decent stoppers before worrying bout the body stuff.
on a plus i blew away a Mk 2 golf gti on the way back from the shops

very the pull from a standing start is unbelievable but i think the fueling is letting it down on the top end(on my private test track )

And Custard, enjoy the car, it is good fun, but you really need those bigger stoppers as the standard ones just are no where near up to the job as they fade to easy, plus get that cooler sorted out I've posted up the part numbers somewhere do a search should find them easy enough
