Evening folks,

Just a quickie - I'm booked in for my MOT tomorrow and my rear wiper ain't working, doesn't bother me as i never really use it anyway! I've been told, rightly or wrongly that I wouldn't fail for a faulty rear wiper as it's not part of the test?

Can anyone clarify?

I'm sure that's right. If the wipers don't clear the front screen properly it's a fail but I think you're ok about the rear one.

..don't think its a necessity like the front, as some cars don't even have rear ones.So me thinks you'll be ok

check with Wimmy. His is knackered and possibly had an MOT while it has been like that.

Rear wiper does not feature within the MOT.

I can confirm this, mine wasn't working for my last MOT (but it will be for this one )
