i never understood the point of putting the battery in the boot? whats the advantage?

thought it was for safety as in the boots its less likely to get hit. dont know really just assumed it would be that.

yeah its kinda a safety thing but i needed the room in the engine bay for my group A cossie pipercross filter hehe its a monster! and it sits behind my custom headlight air vent perfectly. also helps spread the weight out as there will be a spare alloy (compomotive mo), my battery and a alloy fuel tank.
will my battery and fuel tank be ok in the boot together?? lol

So long as you keep the top on the fuel tank, and keep the battery connections sealed... does the tak fill from outside? or do you need to fill it from within the boot, wouldn't like to have a boot full of fuel vapour with a battery in there too!

have it remotely activated by a soleniod too - anti speed camera device/fuel filler cover in one!
Actually, my old Chevette had its fuel filler hidden behind a piece of trim on the C-pillar - was the only cool thing about it

remember a mate had one and both windows were buggered as it was some mad cable system
Right, cars booked in now, gets picked up friday on the back of a trailer and it going to be taken away for welding should be about a week there as he's going to start at the front of the car and work his way to the rear doind ALL bits of rust hehe!
then once thats finished i need to borrow a trailer to take it down to my mates bodyshop for him to work his magic and respray the whole lot! gonna look brand new when finished!
ordered 2 new front wings, a new rear towing eye from fiat, and new rear arch lips from my mate who works in a car shop. so all parts have now been ordered.
just back to the question of petrol tank :? what to do? as i wanna get my filler cap welded up if im having the tank in the boot. what else will i need? apart from the tank? the pump on the uno is external anyway (under the car) so do i actually need anything else?

right, been to vist good old Fiat again in Derby. picked up yet MORE parts lol
2 new front wings and 2 new rear arch lips but these lips arent original fiat as u have to buy the whole rear 1/4 and i dont need all that lol
