I got a lovely surprise yesterday when I saw a nail sticking out my front right tire, so I pulled it out and theres a small hole, didnt hear any hissing or anything but I checked the tire earlier today and it has went down a bit, so its leaking, any ideas on how much a repair for this will cost? its a 17" low profile on 17" alloys, can it be repaired?

One of my mates had a puncture near the sidewall, tyre place refused to repair it and he took it to a tyre re-treading place, they cut out the damaged section and put in new rubber and baked it for three days, in repaired tyre and all for £10!

that sounds scary  you shouldnt go too fast with remolds, so i reckon it be same for that sort of repair

well Kwik fit said it had to be replaced, dont think it really had to myself but im no expert, was a very small hole/nick and it was letting air out very very slowly and wasnt THAT close to tire wall...anyway....

I need a new tire they said...£80 for a cheap no name and £110 for a name brand........can I just say F off....

went to 2 other places and got one place to stick a tire on it for £45 which isnt too bad, £45 for a 17" low profile, is that good?
