i have a 1996 cinq s 899cc done 90,000 miles , got the sporting seats alloys and seat belts . tinted windows and a centre exhaust with new middle section ! recent plugs, filters ,oil ,thermo housing , temp sensor, head gasket ! mot till feb and 4 months tax !body work is ok no rust just a few door marks ! just wondering how much its worth ??

£300

Its pretty much worthless as a machine, its worth the above in parts/spares and scrap

I actually didn't want to believe that it could only be worth £300 seems such a shame for a good working car to be so worthless but the sad truth is, it is worthless you might if its really really clean get £450 maybe but the mileage really lets it down,

big list of new parts fitted do nothing to instil confidence in a car, it just means its been a pain in the arse and in any case it needs all of those parts to work, so i would expect them to be ok.

as you have a nice long MOT its well worth forking out for an ad in auto trader as you might get a couple of hundred quid more, with auto trader people are actively looking to buy a car so a well placed ad and a clean looking photo can make a world of difference.

I once bought a car foe £200 from the side of the road on a friday and sold it in auto trader for £800 the following week it has to have that MOT though

i only paid £170 for the car so anything more is a bonus ! i work for gsf car parts so all the bits ive replaced i just did them because i get them for a bargain price :) the car is great on fuel in the last month ive been cardiff and essex in it so its reliable both trips other 300 miles return ! would i be better to take out the sporting interior and wheels and sell them seperate ?

If the tyres are good then it might be worth it but dont expect big money

Same with the interior if its in really good condition - if you can get an S interior for pennies then it might be worth putting it up for sale, but a sei interior is preferred and a lot more hard wearing and doesnt wear on the side as much or as easily as it does on a cinq

It depends how bothered you can be to change all the things round for the sake of an extra 50-100 quid

Even though it's a group 1 car the insurance will rape a young driver due to the modifications that have been made. I think £300 is optimistic because a young driver wouldn't be able to insure it without either failing to declare the modifications (fronting) or as a named driver and an older driver wouldn't look twice at it because I'm sorry to say it; but the sounds chav'd to me. The £170 you paid sounds about right. You'd get £30 tax back, £80 per Ton on the weighbridge and £10 per tyre if you're lucky.

i wouldnt say it was that chaved :D i still have the s interior so wont take 5 mins to swap it all back and the alloys arent fitted either !!

No offence, but thats definatly chaved up haha, i admit some cars look really nice when after market body kits and lowering is done, or even like yours you put the center
al pipe in, but i personally dont like that at all on your car, good luck with selling it though!!

Could be worse. At least it hasn't been rattle can'd matte black with a Halfords Special(needs) spoiler.

Ah.....

.....ooops.....

;)

A bit of a re-evaluation there's no sunroof so it's worth £200 as a motorsport shell.

I have some legal tail lights, some orange Sporting bumpers and a set of longer Sporting wheel bolts if you need them.

You're right. Failing to declare modification that may effect the value and or performance of the car would invalidate the policy. It's fraud not fronting.
