New Air Filter

Hi guys,

I've just bought a '98 Punto 85SX, the previous owner obviously had a fancy K&N air filter which they removed before sale and theres now no air filter whatsoever. Just wondereing what sort of price I'm looking at to get a new one fitted (including labour)?

Probably a daft question but it's about the only part I haven't had to buy in my 6 years of driving

If they've sold you a car with no airfilter ring the place you bought it from & demand that they supply & fit one for you. An airfilter you can pick up from halfords though usually only a few pounds for a standard replacement element.

Sorry didn't make it clear, i KNEW it didn't have an airfilter as soon as i looked under the bonnet, they also pointed it out to me

Well a K&N induction kit will be about £50. Probally cheaper than a Stock Air box tbh if its just the filter paper (I.e the Air box is there) about £20

Just wondering where your looking for k&n induction kit for £50?

Usually see them range from £80 to £100

It's an 85bhp Punto Chris, obviously a 16v and the inductions kits aren't £50 on there.

I have a Pipercrosss induction kit which will fit your punto, you can have it for £30.

it fits directly on top of there the old one should be!!

Presumably it's a used one? I'd be interested in purchasing that off you......
