any feedback would be a great help thanks :)(y)

But then again if you do want to do it there is tinting films available that you can do yourself (with youtube clips for techniques and help) or myself i flatted the lense with 1200 wet n dry and added a small amount of black bascoat to lacquer and sprayed them

not the greatest pic but you can see what i mean

Haha thanks everyone... All I need know is the sunny weather ^_^

Dont forget to inform your insurer, they will be rubbing their hands

Tell you what, take the bulbs out front and back too.
You don't need rear lights because its behind you and the driver behind - well its their fault if they go into the back of you isn't it.

It amazes me, this obsession with having darkened lighting because it looks "cool"....
IMO its not cool, its not clever and its dangerous.

No offense meant, just my opinion.

And the best thing about hitting a car with it's rear lights tinted is that I could be driving with my eyes completely shut but you can guarantee that I will be shouting the loudest about the fact that you're brake lights weren't showing and..."ohh look officer, no wonder I couldn't see them, he's changed the colour of the lens, surely that cannot be right?"

i hate tinted lights, with a passion.
the only type of "darkening of lights" you can use is a mesh.

google fly eye mesh
it still allows the light to get through it without the stupid effects of tinting at night. yet in the day it makes the lights look "darker" when the lights are off.

a friend of mine has it on his car. before that he had them tinted. when following him at night the difference in light output between tinted and the fly eye mesh was a huge improvement. and to be fair, during the day they looked darker than the tint.

if your life totally depends on you tinting your lights, use that stuff. otherwise dont bother tinting them.

Stretch a pair of tights over the light? :) Or go 'au naturelle' would be my preference.

Saw that on a 'cops on cam' prog. They pulled a guy over & made him take the tights off, he had to make a bit of a mess of them to get them off the lens.

At the end of the day, when some muppet slams into you, they will ALWAYS be looking to get out of paying up & will be frantically looking for anything to help them out. I agree with the 'au naturelle' (y)

Tights on ya lights! Done it before, just stretch them evenly. Looks tinted, full amount of light when illuminated
