This might sound a little 'nerdy', to well - possibly everyone.... but, gotta raise it anyhow.

You know how in the VW scene, cars, vans, etc, etc have those flowery things hanging from their rear view mirrors, (think they are called 'lei') and well every time a VW golf passes another VW golf, the drivers often wave. Well can we - [the good Fiat driving folk] have something 'official sanctioned' to hang from our rear view mirrors and can we start waving to other Fiat drivers??

I'm getting a little cheesed by grumpy drivers just scowling at me as if I'm some nutter, (I'm not - just happy to be alive and happy to be behind the wheel of my little Fiat)!

I may be nuts - but I don't feel it - just a little jealous really.

Any ideas??

I have a big flower on the dash of my car put there by Other half, she also has one in her car.

When I used to drive landrovers we always waved at each other unless it was a new model.
Old landrover owners don't wave at new landrover owners. Which was confirmed when I borrowed my bosses (brand new at the time) disco 3 one day.

Golf owners came up with their little symbol because old VW owners don't respect new VW owners, the golf owners got upset because the beetle and bus owners wouldn't wave at them, so they formed their own little gang.

Basically if you want people to wave at you buy something old.

So a 2001 Sei isn't really old enough then?

But a 2001 T4 VW is... that's not fair

I think that as owner / enthusiasts and members of a great Fiat owner enthusiasts group, that we should put ourselves on the map, I'm having an idea here, (bear with me)!

I think that we - us lot on the FF should invent something of our own - something possibly unique to our forum, something that would identify us as friends on the roads, possibly something that we could hang from our rear view mirrors, or stick to our ariels???

What do you think??

What better way for FIAT owners to recognise each other than by the true Italian way of hand gestures and plenty of car hooter blowing in the proper Italian way!!

Iv got fiatforum stickers on all of our fiats, and if i see another stickered up fiat il wave and smile. I always look at other fiats in case they rae.
a bit off topic, but does anyone treat other fiat owners different? for example if someone in a bmw or some other brand car cuts me up, or races or overtakes me when they shouldn't il havea moan about them. if its a fiat, il make way for them, and let them in etc. perhaps im just mental haha,
