I note our soon to arrive 500 is covered by a three year warranty the third year of which is provided by the dealer.

Not had this before with other cars as usually the three years is three years manufacturers warranty.

I've also note the bumf says - this last year covers 'most' electrical and mechanical items, so I'm curios to know what others have found what is covered and what isn't in the third year.

Cheers...

Cheers - I see now it's been asked a few times before so sorry for raising it - I did look for the ' similar threads ' thing to pop up as I posted it but it didn't seem to come up.

We pick the 500 up on Thursday so will ask them then.

(the one year AA cover seems a bit mean too when compared to what others offer but we get some Green Flag cover anyway through our bank so I can live with that.)

Thanks again.

Year 3 is abit tight compared to the first 2 years, as it's administered by a 3rd party warranty company rather than Fiat. It's something Fiat do need to address, with other manufacturers making their warranties longer (Kia 7 years, Hyundai 5 year, Renault 4 Plus Package, Vauxhall Lifetime etc).

However, Fiat do seem fairly receptive to requests for help in paying for repairs out of warranty, which some other manufacturers i've experience of aren't very good at.

1 year AA Cover is similar to what VW offer, and Alfa Romeo offer 3 years AA, like Audi. Alfa's warranty is 3 year Unlimited Miles, so i think Fiat Group are trying to differentiate between brands. It could do with work though.
