right i put a add up in the wanted section, and got a text from a guy saying he has an engine, i sent the payment and have been waiting nearly 3 weeks for my engine!
im getttin worried now, but he did say that they company didnt send it due to being put down as an incorrect weight or something, i paid via pay pal so if i have been scammed can i get my money back somehow?
but its not all about money its the fac tiv lost a job due to transport, and need my f@*king car

did you see the engine (pix etc) get any details of the seller, thorough specific etails of the actual engine, contact number from the courier, tracking number? how much it cost u? if you jus got a txt sayin a bloke had an engine and you paid without much knowldge etc of what or who ur buying from u could easy be scammed. have you heard from the seller - is he on here?

yeha iv been talking to the seller all along but it just hasnt arrived yet#1 me and the garage are gettin irate, and im guessing he is on here else he couldnt have got my number, but caus ehe didnt contact me via here im unsure of his user name

is he contacting u via txt or phonecall? ask him to contact u via here. also if u paid by paypal the money would have left your account by now and transferred into his and he could have withdrawn it. So Paypal could be tricky. i would tell him your gonna stop the payment etc, also contact your bank etc - it cant do any harm. 3 weeks is ages imo. also i dont know how public etc etc this forum is so could have just purey stumbled across the forum and txt u - long shot but you never know. what has he been telling you - excuse after excuse???

its a good job ben has added the pm bit in classifieds now, is a lot safer

just via text, and im unsure on how private i made the add, and na it was just the weight excuse thats the only one so far,

Did you get your engine in the end?

You should be able to get your money back via PayPal, as long as you didn't send it as a 'gift', as you are covered by their buyer protection policy.

Google his phone number, if he has placed any ads online or posted it publicly on any forums it should show up, sometimes you even get an address that way...
