So it snowed in the UK as per usual people cannot drive in the Snow your typical BMW and Alfa's struggling on the slightest incline known to man.

But am I the only one really impressed by the way the Fiat Punto I own just powered through the snow with very little or no drama I managed to climb up a very steep Incline in Dover with my impressive and gripping FWD System on the mk2 Punto. The only time I struggled was when some douche bag in front of me got stuck an caused me to stop on the hill which btw is 1:4 incline

How Did your Fiats handle the few inches of ice and snow??

Never had a Problem with my Stilo. Big heavy engine over large tyres with plenty of power to move the car off the clutch. I can't drive particularly fast otherwise the power will get too much for the grip of the car, slowly but surely is the way forward.

Was in Germany in the mid 80's with the RAF. Use to love seeing all the 3 series BMW's in the crash barriers or the ditches during the winter because of rear wheel drive and no weight. This is now coupled with the added hazard of a lot of current drivers being coddled by so many safety features that they cannot actually cope with driving in the slightest bit of inclement weather. for example, less than an inch of snow closed the M11 about 8 years ago because of fast driving in poor conditions. The A1 this week in Yorkshire was blocked, bet some t**t was driving too fast and caused an accident behind them. I either take the train or don't drive unless I have to. As for work, being an HGV driver, the extra weight on the back wheels and exhaust breaking helps but I'm still at the mercy of the numpties.

haha nice one I always thought the Germans were more sensible than us in blighty.

Yeah down here In Dover on the main road just off my street was about 6 - 7 cars written off worst one I saw was a Renault Twingo had no front end or left side I mean what speeds do some genius's go in thick snow and ice its just absurd and they deserve to crash!

Last year we had buckets of the stuff down here in Devon. Sainburys car park looked like a demolition derby, but for my little Classic Panda it was just a giant playground. Never got stuck once.

i find my multi so stable at all times , not saying it handles well but with it sitting so square on the road it never gets bothered and no problem with the ice.
