Good morning :D

I work on an RAF base in Lincolnshire and travel up and down the A15 every morning. This morning how ever, I decided to go a back way ( to avoid traffic) and got jammed down a country lane by a car transporter truck.
As I squeezed past it, I noticed on the back of the lorry was a LOAD of VW caddys on the back with a company that works on the base's logo on the side of the vans.

I thought nothing more of it until I pulled into the work car park to see a line of 12 61 reg Fiat Fiorino vans all with the companys name and logo on the back!
Made my day!

Are the Fiorinos 1.9 or 2.0 M-jets?

Cheers
Tom

Sorry, but only the 1.3 Multijet is on offer in the Fiorino and Qubo. You can choose either 75 or 95 HP but that's as far as it goes. I really wish the 1.6 were on offer but it hqsn't been up to now and it's not programmed for 2012 at the moment.

I have hired a VW Caddy 2011 from Europcar when I was picking stuff up from my old house in Belgium. It is a brilliant van and it was SO easy to drive.

I guess that I am being a bit VW biased because I have a VW passat 98 and a VW passat 2011 as well as my beautiful barchetta :) They are both two brilliant companies.

Kind regards,

Chris

Come January I will be able to get my 600 (military driving permit) so I can start driving Military owned vehicles. And Im in the process of being allocated a work vehicle. Theyve got 3 to choose from..... Ford Transit Connect 1.8 tdci, Vauxhall Combo 1.7 cdti or a Vauxhall Movano 3.5 cdti flat back.
Bearing in mind the Movano wieghs 4 tonne and is 4 years old and the other 2 are 60/11 plate

Love my job :D

Cheers

I think the Ford will be the best driver and it's also the best looker.

I used to work at RAF Alconbury near Huntingdon back in the 80's. Runway is closed now and the operational side of the base is now an industrial estate. What's left is still in use by the USAF.

Awesome,
I work at RAF Cranwell near Lincoln. Not much going on here now the Dominies have gone :(

Another round of 8 Fiorinos turned up this morning :D

Obviously doing a complete change around

Cheers
Tom

WOW!!!!

20 new Fiorinos at once. Bet they got a nice fleet discount for that purchase.

I had to look on a map to find Cranwell. It was sort of where I expected but difficult to find. You mentioned the A15 road and I was looking for an A15 motorway with no luck. Over here motorways start with A and national roads with N so when I saw A15 I was expecting it to be a motorway.:( Having lived in the UK, I should have remembered that motorways start with M and national roads with A.
