does anyone know if it's possible to get remote central locking fitted to my punto? anyone know how much this would cost if it's possible?

Does it have key central locking at the mo?

If so u can usually pick up the fiat RCL kit off ebay for around £50

If it dont microscan do a kit that will wire up all your locks to motors (I.e. central locking) andthen an adaptor that turns it into a remote jobby (RCL).

Bout 50quid should cover it. I think i got mine from larkspeed...

on a mk2 is it just a case of buying those fiat rcl adapters and replacing the existing control unit thats behind the glove box?

If you have central locking then you don't even need to buy the fiat part - there are cheaper alternatives have a look on ebay. I got mine for around £40 - they are easy to fit, mine was just a case of connecting to a few wires.

Mind you the fiat one might be even simpler to install.

As someone said to me on another forum, for just a little bit more than a remote locking kit you can get a whole car alarm and remote locking kit. OK it's not a fancy one that will help your insurance (unless you want to pay more money) but it's better than nowt and worth the extra tenner or so

Take a look on eBay at the moment there are a few floating around, one of which i won a few days back its a genuine fiat part and has a years warrenty, simply replace the yellow central locking relay with one with an antenna, includes two fobs, and works miles away! - about £45
