I have recently been working on a 85s head for my x1/9. I am chasing higher rated valve springs. I have seen " Isky performance springs" listed for x1/9's on a Fiat distributors web site. As far as I can tell Isky does not produce valve springs at standard specs for any 1500 Fiat, but they do produce a BMW double spring for a 2002 316i that is almost a perfict fit (99%) with a higher spring rating.(serial number 625/626). Can any one confirm is this the same product people are sell as fiat performance springs. If so I am sure many Fiat owners would be interested. Thankyou.

Yes I intend on comparing the spring rate on both the stock Fiat valve spring and alternative option to identify the compression load difference. I am doing it for improved valve performance at high revs.. Not sure what the Twin cam ref was in relation to?? Thankyou anyway.

Ok I have just realised an error. The 625/626 isky valve spring are from BMW's 1600 and 2002 (as in vintage cars). Not 2002 316i as I prev stated.. Slight error there folks... The top retainer sits snug in the outer spring and there is the slights amount of side movement with the retainer for the inner spring. hights are fine. Go to iskycams.com for the 625/626 spring specs..

Just an idea to try, You might wanna send John an Email/message asking about this, he's done crazy amounts of work/development on racing X1-9 fiats etc, if anyone will know it will be him, Just an idea . .
