i've got a cinq and wanted to get some skirts for it, and thought if it was easy enough, i would fit them myself. how would i fit my side skirts? or would it just be easier, but more expensive, to just send it to the bodyshop just up the road. grateful for all the replys.

I used Tigaseal to glue mine on and pop rivets underneath, tigaseals the best for this as it is really strong aswell as remaining flexible.

Stick a hole thru' the sill (CAREFULLY!!), drill one through the car's bodywork at the same location- possibly remove carpets and seats from area to make it easy to see.

Make sure your holes are adequately undersealed or painted around them, rust really is great.....

Get yure rivet in the rivet gun, put it in one side. squeeze the trigger on the gun to draw the metal of the rivet towards the hole. It will then become very stiff and hard to pull. Pull it through using the guns trigger, the cars bodywork wont break, but the rivet pin thing will snap off.

Repeat as necessary

Check this... it explans it better than I can http://www.technologystudent.com/joints/popriv1.htm
