HEY,GOT MYSELF A HONDA D15BVTEC ENGINE/GEARBOX/LOOM AND BRAIN FOR DOIN A FAVOR FOR A MATE AND I CURRENTLY STILL HAVE MY WEE PUNTO SO I CAME UP WITH THE IDEA OF STICKIN IT IN THE PUNTO AND STICKIN A TURBO ON IT AT A LATER DATE,ANY BODY NO ANYBODY THAT HAS DONE THIS BEFORE OR CAN GIVE ME AS MUCH INFO TO WHAT I NEED TO PULL IT OFF,AND CAN I SWAP MY BRAKES,HUBS,BEARINGS AND SUSPENSION FOR 2.2COUPE TURBO BRAKES,HUBS,BEARINGS AND SUSPENSION EASILY ENOUGH?AS THE D15B ENGINE WIT A TURBO WIL PUT OUT AROUND 220BHP,THANKS FOR ANY FEED BACK AND SORRY TO ANY PURISTS LOL.

It would be fantastic when finished but the engine has the gearbox on the other end to most other engines so fitting could be a problem, once you have it fitted the electronics will be a nightmare and you will have to fit a throttle cable (Punto is Drive-By-Wire).

im not to bad with a sledge and a welder so il get it to fit sum how it jus the rest after that i prob wont have a clue about lol,do you think it would be posible to bridge the fait brain to the honda brain as ive seen it done on other swaps?cable shouldn be that much of a prob,could butcher sumfin up,washing line and shoe laces if it comes to it lol.

I should not post while knackered from work, My 2001 sporting has drive by wire but IIRC the 8 valves have a conventional cable.

These days no engine swap is simple. You will need the Honda engine ECU and will probably need a load of other electronics to get it all working.

A bike engine is probably easier - they dont use much electronic stuff.

ive got the engine,gearbox,loom and brain.

Most of the stuff you need to know is online. Asking for other people to find it for you is just uncouth tbh.

Use a combination of Google and here and you should be ok. A lot of it will be unknown territory however.

I suggest you get a copy of AutoData for wiring diagrams etc.
