Im new to this forum but I would really appreciate some help. I have a MK1 punto 1.2 8v 60s on T plate. Its just had head gasket done. New cambelt, 2 oil and filter changes, plugs and air filter. Car idles spot on, doesnt seem to fluctuate. There is not any smoke from the car when starting or running. The car runs along very good and i'm pretty sure the timing is ok. It went in for MOT today and went straight thro other than high emissions. I took it in for the test stinking hot, made sure it was warmed up nicely. The printout results are below. So what is best to try next? Would it help if I chuck a bottle of RED-x thro it? Or do I need to be looking at lambda sensor or cat?

Does look like it could be lamba or cat,

Mind you could the car running lean/rich whatever one it is cause this, any custom modifications on it?

Even if the lambda is running the engine rich, the cat should clean up the excess HCs. Check the lambda but chances are the cat has failed.

water in exhaust due to HG failure has probably knackered the lambda sensor
