does anyone else find FIAT's apparant lack of advertising somewhat odd? apart from the tired "spiritp de punto" ads, which have also dried up lately, i rarely see any ads in any media,

take the panda launch last year, already voted car of the year, and all i saw were a few posters with the "pandarised" rhinos, gorillas, etc. the only tv was this year for the 4x4.

the multipla, great car, and a great ad, except honda did it for the frv!!!

all these companies, honda, ford, vauxhall, vw, peugeot, renault (modus ad is brilliant!), seat, citroen, are pushing cars and variants of them in markets broadly covered by fiat, and yet, it's almost an embarrassment for them to show off what they got,

i certainly remember going round a load of dealerships to see the car in the metal, and at the time, they either didnt have a car, or brochures, or if they did have a car, it was the most unflattering colour (sorry in advance to anyone who bought "guacamole green"!), and this was dthe week before the official launch, i even went past the uk headquarters in slough, and up on a ramp was a vanilla yellow!!!!

Its always been like it, I remember an ad when the Cinq first came out, also the Seicento ad campaign. But its criminal the Panda wasnt advertised more, after all Kia annoyed us for ages with its Picanto advert! WHATS WRONG WITH VANILLA YELLOW?????!

i must admit, i'm a snob on colour! like i said i apologise but i can't go for it, i swear to god fiat make the flat colours bluergh to force you to cough up 300 bones for a metallic

mrs t had the last laugh though, she got up and walked away when the salesman wouldnt chuck it in for free, he practically shot out of his chair to offer it up!

I saw in the paper that Michael Howard's wife's original Panda 4x4 was wrecked by yobs or whatever yesterday (I presume). Now, Fiat really should be expressing to her a brand new Panda 4x4, simply for the cheap publicity it will get them. And should the Conswervatives win the election (LOL, stranger things have happened), there could be even more publicity.

A good idea Gav, they'd do well out of that I bet.

I wonder if Fiat in Italy decide the adverts or Fiat Uk do it. Either way maybe they don't have the budget for big advertising. I saw a few adverts for the 4x4 panda but not much else to be honest.

What colour is your Panda Turboned? If I can sort the deal out on my Panda (See my post in the new Panda section) I'm lost to which colour to have mine in!

mines sparkling blue, teseo blue and black were an option, but we thought since it's a cutsey little car, cutsey colour...but thats us...!

speaking again on ad's, seen the vw golf gti one? gene kelly "singing in the rain" how awesomely cool is that, THAT gets people talking

I love that VW Golf Gti advert, just magic! Sorry to go off topic again, but I can't make up my mind what colour to have my Panda (If I can sort the dealership out) I might go with black with yellow trim or, silver and blue trim or, cocktail blue and blue trim. Any ideas?

metallic black, get the windows tinted, bin the alloys, ugrade to 17" stilo claws, get the interior re-trimmed from the yellow to alacantra combo silver/black...et voila...cheeky panda...to raging grizzly!

Now's there's an advert! Come on Fiat, what's wrong with you! Odd thing is, my missus quite likes the Panda in black I'm not too sure on the yellow trim that goes with it though....
