I am trying to identify the year of manufacture of my 1500 (Millicinquecento) and weather it is a MkI or MkII version.

Hopefully the following information will be of some help.

IGM 19310M
AUTOTEIAIO- Chassis 116-0406228
Motor 115-000
Serial No 0407113

Is there any other information I need to provide and if so where can I find this on the vehicle

I believe that the engine 115-000 shows it's a 1500 from 1961-1967. In 1964 it was named the 1500C with BHP increasing to 83 (from 72) - as it had servo assisted brakes from 1964 that's probably the easiest way to check if the badging is unclear.

The only club in the UK which can date a Fiat for DVLA purposes is the Fiat Motor Club (G.B.) although there may be someone in Australia who can help. From the chassis number etc an exact build date can be obtained from Fiat's records.

I hope this helps a little.

Best wishes,

Gavin.

Hi

The easiest way to determine a series 1 or 2

Series 1 fuel cap is on the rear
Series 2 the fuel cap is behind a flap on the the rear wing
Series 2 grill goes round the front side lights, Series 1 is inset.
Rear light clusters are different
