Hi everyone new to the forums, im in the middle of buying my first car, paying him weekly till its paid off.

I have a problem with the car specs:

Fiat punto 1.2 8V Mk2 2003 3Dr

The drivers side lock was smashed in by a screwdriver and so now I cant fit the key in so I have to go round to the passengers side to unlockm the whole then walk back round to open the drivers side. Right Faff on!

So I am looking at getting a new lock set for the entire car, but want to make sure it will be compatible with the car, Ecu etc. Also heard my current key might have a chip in it and the car wont start unles it has that key in the barrel?

There is currently a set for a 3Dr punto says 2003ish im just wondering if this is what I should use?
